Troubleshooting and FAQ

Quick answers to common questions and issues.

I plugged in the robot, but it did not turn on right away.

Make sure the power plug is fully inserted into the robot. A loose connection can cause the robot to power on and off repeatedly before starting normally. Once fully connected, the robot should power on within about 20 seconds. If it still does not light up or move after 20 seconds, contact support@1tekshop.com.

What do blue eyes mean?

Blue eyes mean the robot is connected to Bluetooth.

Why is the mouth moving with the music?

The mouth reacts to the loudness of the audio being played through the robot. This is normal behavior.

Can I use a different power supply?

Use only the included 12V DC power supply.

How do I exit a menu?

Hold the M button for 2 seconds to exit. In the Mouth Menu, holding + and - for 2 seconds will also exit.

I connected to Bluetooth, but no audio is playing.

Make sure REPO Bot Lite is selected as your audio output device and that your device volume is turned up. Try pausing and replaying audio, or disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth. If audio works on another device but not yours, the issue is likely with that device’s audio settings. If audio does not work on multiple devices, contact support@1tekshop.com.

Music is playing, but the mouth is not moving.

First, restart the robot by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If audio is playing but the mouth is still not moving, check the eye color for a status warning.

  • Red eyes may indicate motor protection or overheating
  • Amber eyes may indicate a position sensor issue
  • Magenta eyes may indicate a motor communication issue

If the problem continues after restarting, contact support@1tekshop.com.

The eyes did not turn blue.

Blue eyes appear when Bluetooth is connected. If the eyes do not turn blue, make sure your device is connected to REPO_BT_XXXX and try reconnecting Bluetooth.

The robot turned on, but something seems unusual.

Restart the robot by unplugging it and plugging it back in once. If the issue continues, contact support@1tekshop.com and include a short video if possible.

What should I do before contacting support?

Before contacting support, try restarting the robot by unplugging it and plugging it back in, then reconnect Bluetooth. If the issue continues, email support@1tekshop.com with your order number and a short video of the problem.
